The upcoming 2018 version of Unity is on the way and with it a lot of new features.
A few of the new features include:
- C# Job System
- Scriptable rendering pipelines
- Shader Graph
The shader graph is a visual shader editor making it a lot easier for you to create shaders.

Shader graph is still in beta and and it will be interesting to see if they can compete with this third party tools that is much loved from the assets store.
